The Shamrock Hotel has been an integral part of Mackay’s history as far back as 1881 when it first opened her doors; the grand old pub has been rebuilt, renovated and expanded several times over her years. It has a great range of beers on tap, Guinness adding a touch of the Irish. The Blarney bar is the local’s watering hole and if you order some food - your dinner will be half the price, (and you get to watch the footy on the big screen, too!)
The club bar offers a relaxed, sit down and have a chat atmosphere and just next door is the newly renovated gaming room. The Bistro boasts a 1kg T bone a favorite with all our regulars, after dinner you can wander into our pool room and crank up the juke box...
The Shamrock also offers great accommodation and function packages second to none. So if you’re travelling up the highway or passing through to the airport why not drop in and meet our friendly staff.
The Bistro has Chef’s special every night varying with what vegetables are season. Tab runs four losing ticket draws every Saturday. They receive a mystery bet and four pots of beer.
