The Shamrock Hotel has been an integral part of Mackay's history as far back as 1881 when it first opened her doors; the grand old pub has been rebuilt, renovated and expanded several times over her years. It has a great range of beers on tap, Guinness adding a touch of the Irish. The Blarney bar is the local's watering hole and if you order some food - your dinner will be half the price, (and you get to watch the footy on the big screen, too!)
