It’s the year for Rugby in 2011 with the World Cup headed down under and the Willoughby Hotel is enjoying some fantastic Super Rugby activity as the Official Waratahs Headquarters for 2011. Next Wednesday 8th June, the Willoughby Hotel will host some of the NSW Waratahs for a meet and greet with fans.

On the same night, the Willoughby Hotel will feature heavily on “The Code”; the popular new documentary airing on Foxsports which takes viewers inside the inner sanctum of the Waratahs’ dressing room, training paddock and never before seen footage of the Waratahs 2011 season, and all the drama that has surrounded it.

“The Willoughby Hotel enjoys a rich rugby history with a thriving local rugby competition. With the Willoughby Hotel sponsoring Gordon Rugby Club, Chatswood Rugby Club and Chatswood Juniors Rugby Club, there is an enthusiastic Rugby culture here at the hotel that runs deep into hotel traditions” said Venue Manager John McGurk.

“We have some loyal Waratahs fans here at the hotel and I know they will be very keen to have a chat with the Waratahs boys next Wednesday on all things Super Rugby and the Waratahs in 2011.” continued John.

Chatswood Juniors rugby club will host a fundraising raffle on the night giving guest the chance to win everything from dinner for two at the Willoughby Hotel to game tickets to watch the HSBC Waratahs take on the Highlanders at the SFS on June 11.

“The night will kick off from 6pm with the Willoughby Hotel’s Brown Dog Badge Draw which will jack pot at a massive $2,000 on the night. The night will conclude with a Q&A with Waratahs players Phil Waugh and Josh Holmes. It’s sure to be a great night had by all” continued John.

The Willoughby Hotel will host the HSBC Waratahs next Wednesday 8th June from. Fans are encouraged to get down to the hotel early for what is sure to be an enjoyable and informative evening for all Super Rugby fans.
