The Tacking Point Tavern and Port United Football Club Confirm Major Sponsorship Deal for 2012

The Tacking Point Tavern has confirmed major sponsorship of the Port United Football Club for 2012, reinforcing their support of the important development programs such sporting clubs provide to the local Port Macquarie community.

The Port United Football Club; a local family soccer club formed in 1975, play under the Football Mid North Coast Association competition. With 60 junior and senior teams and over 600 members, the Port United Football club field's teams from Under 6's through to adult teams. In the 2012 season the clubs memberships has expanded and with it, so has their prowess on the Football field; fielding teams in the Football Mid North Coast Premier League, teams in the Northern Men's and Women's Leagues as well as the Men's Zone Championship.

"Clubs such as Port United provide an unprecedented positive influence on the local community and often run off the back of volunteer help from those with a real love of the game. Our financial and social assistance allows these clubs to continue to provide a wonderful avenue for both the young and old within the local community; creating  a healthy team environment and social outlet for their family and friends."

Port United Football Club Secretary, Justin McIntosh said; "The primary goal of the Port United Football Club is to provide a friendly, family orientated atmosphere for all players from grassroots football to the local Premier League competition. We endeavour to promote the game of football at all levels within the Port Macquarie and Mid North Coast region."

The Tacking Point Tavern and the Port United Football Club have signed a one year sponsorship deal which both parties are confident will prosper into the future including cash, contra and social club support throughout the season.
