Tacking Point Tavern Undergoes Major Renovations to Deliver The Best TAB and Sporting Facilities in Port Macquarie

The Tacking Point Tavern is amidst major renovations to their TAB and Sports Bar which will deliver the finest sporting facilities in the Port Macquarie area. Last Monday, the Tacking Point Tavern commenced work scheduled to be completed ahead of this Saturday’s Derby Day and Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup Day activity.

The renovations which will include a major upgrade to current facilities will see the inclusion of two 60inch TVs dedicated to both Fox Sports One and Fox Sports Two, three large LCD plasma’s above the bar, two Easy Bet terminals, Keno self service terminal and teletext TVs for all your live race action.

The $50,000 complete technical upgrade and modernisation of current facilities at the hotel and will come just in time for the biggest racing week of the spring carnival calendar!

Tacking Point Tavern Venue Manager, Phil Cardwell said; “the upgrade to our current TAB and sports bar facilities will be a welcomed addition by local punters over Derby Day weekend and with the race that stops the nation just around the corner, the new state of the art TAB facilities are sure to make an impact next Tuesday.”

The Tacking Point Tavern will be hosting a two course Melbourne Cup Day Lunch with sweeps, Hamper giveaways plus more next Tuesday 1st November and with the new Sports Bar facilities, the Tacking Point Tavern will be THE PLACE to be on Melbourne Cup Day 2011.
