Sneaky Sound System
LITTLE bit wacky with a lot of personality is one way to describe the trio that make-up Sneaky Sound System.
Becoming an Australian household name in 2006 with their single `I Love It', Miss Connie (Connie Mitchell), Black Angus (Angus McDonald), and MC Double D (Daimon Downey) instantly became a club favourite and brought back true pop music.
Happy to title themselves a pop band, the gang of Sneaky Sound System have taken a unique road in Australia by finding a niche market and standing out for the rest. Colourful, hyper and energetic, the trio have exploded onto the radio with music influenced by 80s 9 pop with electronic undertones.
The professional music careers for Angus and Daimon started in 2001, but it wasn't until 2003 they received a record deal to put together a mixed CD titled Other Peoples Music. Lead singer and the feminine touch to the group Connie joined the boys after they approached her in a parking lot while she was singing with a friend.
The chance meeting completed the team and the rest is history, since then Sneaky Sound System has supported Robbie Williams, played at the Antipodean Live Earth concert, won two Aria awards and have had four singles enter the top 40. Now the trio is coming back to Mackay after their successful show last year which wowed the crowds with their energy and live sound.
Titled the Poptronic Tour, Sneaky Sound System will be playing at the
Magnums Hotel, Airlie beach Wednesday 11th February Andergrove Tavern on Tuesday 10th February
