NLG DEVELOPS INNOVATIVE VENUE PROMOTION

The Swell Tavern and the Plantation Hotel to give away all expenses paid trip to the Playboy Mansion in LA during the month of June

Throughout the month of June, the National Leisure and Gaming Group (NLG) one of the largest hotel groups in Australia, will be offering patrons the chance to win an all expenses paid trip to the Summer Fling Pool party at the Playboy Mansion in LA at two of their venues, the Plantation Hotel in Coffs Harbour and the Swell Tavern on the Gold Coast. The prize will also include two return flights to LA, two nights stay at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, limo transfers and a full tour of the Playboy Mansion by Hugh Heffner's Playmates.

"With the introduction of the new OLGR guidelines in NSW, the traditional 'buy a drink to win an instant prize' style promos are much harder to do," commented Alistair Flower, Group Marketing Manager for the NLG Group. "Venues now need to look at new innovative ways to get the additional patrons through the door and in a very competitive market patrons are looking for an experience rather than a cheap thrill. Aspirational, money can't buy opportunities and quality brand association are elements in getting the punters attention and we think we have certainly done this with these all expenses paid trips to the world's most famous party house - the prefect prize for some of our younger target market venues."

"The mechanics are easy, simply turn up and you have a chance of winning. With two winners drawn every Friday and Saturday night in June, the more you visit the more chance you have of winning. And if you can't win a ticket on the night, the venues are backing it up with a second chance draws through an extensive direct marketing campaign and online competition. The Grand Finals will be held in early July where one of our lucky 26 finalists will win the grand prize - the trip to the Playboy Mansion in LA."

The Playboy Mansion was acquired by Playboy in 1971. The mansion has 29 rooms including a wine cellar, a game room, a zoo and aviary (and related pet cemetery), tennis courts, a waterfall and a swimming pool area (including a patio and barbecue area, a grotto, a sauna and a bathhouse)  It became famous in the 70’s on account of the media reporting of Hugh Hefner’s lavish parties. Today the Playboy Mansion parties are so renowned they’ve been featured in a number of films, TV shows and music videos including: Beverly Hills Cop II, Sex and The City and Nelly’s song 'Work'. Today a TV show entitled ‘The Girl’s of the Playboy Mansion’ airs on the E! Channel.

The lucky winner’s total prize will include:

  • x2 return flights to LA
  • 2 nights stay at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills  ( July 17 - 19th)
  • Limo transportation to and from Playboy Mansion
  • Full tours of Mansion grounds by Playmates
  • Gourmet bbq/dinner and full open bar all night
  • Professional massages available
  • Full access to pool and grotto (towels to be provided - swimsuits not required)
  • Photos with Playmates
  • Access to after party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel
