Cheesy and Cheery - A Good Night

"SAY Cheese for Cheers" at the Plantation Hotel and not only will you be helping to promote safe and comfortable partying but you could win big. As part of the NLG Hotel Group's national Safe Venue Project, the Plantation Hotel has introduced an ID scanner, head cams and rostered bathroom checks, all a wider part of the `Say Cheese for Cheers" campaign.

On arrival, patrons will have their ID scanned and photo taken for the purpose of identifying and deterring known or potential troublemakers to the hotel. They will also be given the opportunity to have their photo taken throughout the night, showing off their `best cheese' to be added to the `Say Cheese for Cheers' website. The winner of the `Best Cheese Award' at the end of the month will win a Sony Handycam Camcorder valued at $1000.

"The safety and wellbeing of our patrons is our number one priority," licensee Anthony Brady said. "Implementing strategies such as the Safe Venue Project allows our management team to create the optimal environment for patrons to enjoy the vast array of entertainment elements available in our venue in a calm, relaxed and hassle free way." "The Plantation Hotel has recorded low incident occurrences since the hotel was taken over by NLG Hotel Group in 2006. "This speaks volumes for the management team's focus on providing a safe and enjoyable venue. We are all excited about the inclusion of the `Safe Venue Project' which we believe will complete the safe, enjoyable and fun entertainment- filled environment we strive to deliver to our patrons week in and week out," Mr Brady said.
