PINK DISCO DJ TOUR - NLG supports National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Currently 36 women in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer everyday. October is breast cancer awareness month which raises awareness and educational activities to increase our community's knowledge about being breast aware.

NLG has created The Pink Disco Tour which is a multi-faceted event, where multiple venues including Swell Tavern Burleigh Heads, Plantation Hotel Coffs Harbour, Hotel Cremorne Sydney, Retro Hotel Sydney, The Blue Room, Gladstone and the Port Macquarie Hotel will raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

All patron donations, sales of pink ribbon merchandise and contributions from specially made pink cocktails on the night will be donated. The dress code and venue theme for the tour is “pink”, allowing patrons to show their support for the cause.

Headlining the tour will be some of Australia’s finest female DJ’s including Amber Savage, DJ MINX (Melb) & Dancing with the stars, Emily Scott.

“The Pink Disco tour is directly targeting 18-30 year old females who are normally the most naïve in thinking they need to have these important checks for Breast Cancer. Not only will we be donating to this great cause but will be creating the much needed awareness through these themed events”. Marketing Manager Alistair Flower commented.

The NBCF is the leading national not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to supporting and promoting high quality research into the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer. Breast cancer is one of the most commonly occurring cancers in Australian women with 13,600 new cases expected to be diagnosed this year.  But thanks to excellent research, deaths from disease have decreased by 22% in the last decade, with more women knowing the benefits of early detection and an increase in treatment options.
