Spring Racing - NLG Madhatters Race Day
The inaugural NLG race day in conjunction with major suppliers Toohey's took place on the 2nd of September at the Australian Jockey Club in Randwick. The day allowed NLG Venue Managers, staff and suppliers the chance to dress up, have fun and be on the receiving end of some first class hospitality!
Experiencing all the action, glamour and excitement of Gai Waterhouse's Mad-Hatter birthday, staff indulged in first class hospitality and rubbed shoulders with the current Sydney Rosters team including Willie Mason, Craig Fitzgibbon, Nat Myles & Mitchell Pearce.
Champagne & canapes were in abundance as guests mingled with one another - some keen to exchange tips, whilst others, content to let horseracing take a backseat, indulged in a little light speculation as the Mad-Hatter fashions on the field took place, judged by ex Roosters player Luke Ricketson and socialite Kate Waterhouse.
NLG CEO, Andrew Jolliffe, who welcomed guests, spoke of the importance of culture within the hotel group and thanked staff for all their hard work and dedication throughout the year before handing the microphone to Tooheys Stalwart, Doug May who is a seasoned campaigner at these event days.
The annual race day is proving to be a popular favourite on the staff social & events calendar.
