Keighery Hotel - Relaunch; old school charm with a few new amenities
MEDIA RELEASE: 21st August 2009
The Keighery Hotel, which has been a local institution since the early 1900’s, has recently undergone a 4 month long renovation. As part of parent company NLG Hotel Group strategic capital expenditure and reinvestment program, the million dollar upgrade has improved both the internal and external features of the iconic local venue.
Preserving original aspects of the building, the renovations have modernised the pub, but the most cherished traditions remain. The new Keighery Hotel features a modern dining facility, Lucky’s Grill & Bistro which specialises in tasty steaks, burgers and salads, all served in quick time for the busy corporate worker or local in the area, a top notch open air gaming room, new TAB facilities and plasma screens to view the races plus a wide variety of live sports. The Keighery has also become a FoxSports Live Boxing site, one of only a handful in the whole of Sydney that will show ALL the large bouts live. On Wednesday the 26th of August, Keighery's celebrated the relaunch with a party which included famous local ex footballers Bret Kenny, Eric Grothe and Peter Tunks as well as current Eels super star Feleti Mateo who mingled with Keighrey Hotel locals and regular. "the refurb is fantastic and a great addition to the local area, its fantastic to see hotel groups like NLG really give back to the locals" Peter Tunks commented to stage.
Come down and grab a meal from the Keighery "Luckys" Bistro with an relaunch offer of 2 for 1 meals at all times.
