NLG - Finalist for Group Operator of the Year
ALIA FINALISTS ANNOUNCED By Rebecca Harris
The finalists for the 2009 Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA) have been announced.
Now in its 16th year, the Awards aim to recognise leading groups, individuals and brands within the on-and off-premise categories that have performed with distinction over the past 12 months.
This year’s ALIA’s, co-hosted by TorchMedia and Coca-Cola Amatil, has seen a record number of votes in both categories, with voters across the country keen to recognise their peers in the prestigious Awards.
From best craft beer to supplier of the year, best new product to best bar restaurant, the awards encapsulate the best the industry has to offer.
The off-premise Liquor Awards and the on-premise Hotel, Bar & Club Awards categories will now be submitted to respective panels of key industry figures who will decide the winners, to be announced at the official Awards ceremony on Wednesday, October 21.
More than 800 members of the trade are expected to attend the fun-filled beach-themed gala event at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour.
The event will see a return of last year’s popular host Larry Emdur, along with food, fun and some surprise entertainment in what promises to be a night to remember.
