Hotel Cremorne Take Out The Corona Cup At The Weekends Slam Volleyball Festival Palm Beach

NEWS ITEM 12.12.11

Hotel Cremorne has taken out the Corona Cup at the Slam Volleyball, Palm Beach Festival over the weekend. The annual, nation wide Beach Volleyball competition took place at Palm Beach Sydney on Saturday 10th December and saw a mixture of amateur and elite players take to the sand for what has become a festival as much about keeping healthy and fit as it is about the fun, fashion and music!

SLAM is a youth culture brand which produces the biggest beach volleyball festival in the southern hemisphere! More than just a damn good party: it’s a community of girls and guys across the Australia who love their health and wellbeing as much as their music.

The Hotel Cremorne team consisting on Venue Manager Anthony Brady and staff members Jessica Paterson, Kathering Manettas, Ashlyn Grace, Elise Williams, Lucy Mackenzie, Patrick McNamara and Matt Jeboult took on opponents from hotels including Opera Bar, Star Bar, Ryan’s Bar and the Buena Vista Hotel.

The team were undefeated for their four heat matches before progressing to the finals and keeping their undefeated record for the day to take out the title.

Hotel Cremorne Venue Manager, Anthony Brady said; “The Corona Slam Festival was a great day for all involved. The atmosphere was electric and the teams really got into the day. Our player of the day went to Ash Grace who hands down dominated the day”.

Congratulations to team Cremorne for taking out the Corona Cup!
