RUGBY LEGENDS BOBBY SKINSTAD AND TIM HORAN SHARE TALES, THRUTHS AND A FEW LAUGHS AT THE BRIDGEVIEW HOTEL LONG LUNCH

Next Wednesday 20th July, the new Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining will be hosting Rugby legends Bob Skinstad and Tim Horan as they share their tales and truths of the 12year and 11year respective test careers. Host Matt Pearce, South Africa’s leading Super Sport Rugby Anchor Commentator will also lead the days analysis on all things rugby heading into the Tri Nations and Rugby World Cups.

Tim Horan, renowned as one of the best Rugby centres to play Australian Rugby with a career spanning 11 test years with the Wallabies. In 1996 Tim captained the Wallabies side for the first time and in 1999 went on to play a leading role in the Wallabies World Cup win against South Africa.

Booby Skinstad also enjoys legendary status in both South African and indeed International Rugby having represented South Africa in 42 International tests; 12 as Captain. The two faced off in many international games, including the 1998 Tri Nations in which Bobby assisted South Africa’s victor against Australia and the following years 1999 World Cup in which the Wallabies exacted their revenge, taking out the World Cup tournament.

Both, still prominent figures in the world of Rugby will chat with guests at the Bridgeview Hotel next Wednesday before Australia takes on South Africa the first of the Tri Nations series on Saturday.

Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining General Manager Hamish Watts said; “We are really excited to have two iconic figures of the game in to talk all things Rugby on the eve of the Tri Nations and in such an important year for Rugby ahead of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.”

Guests on the day will enjoy the lavish dining experience now familiar with new Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining. Executive Chef Justin Walshe will take guests on a five course culinary experience throughout the day as they are talked through the popular wines on offer.

There will be charity raffles and auctions run throughout the day for children suffering with Cerebral Palsy.

“We are planning a really intimate day of rugby and are really excited to showcase the new menu on offer here at the Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining. With the help of such great rugby personalities and in support for such a great cause, we are really in for a great day” continued Hamish.

The Bridgeview Hotel Rugby Long Lunch sponsored by Fox Sports will kick off next Wednesday 20th July at 12:30pm. Tickets to the event are $100 including all food and beverages. Tickets are limited to 60seats so interested guests are encouraged to get in early.
