MEDIA RELEASE: 14.04.11
ANZAC Day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli in 1915. It is the day we remember all Australians who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. The spirit of ANZAC lives strong in the Willoughby community.
The leafy, historic suburb of Willoughby each year hosts a range of ANZAC Day activities to commemorate those lost, and none venerate finer than the Bridgeview Hotel’s ANZAC Day Family Fun Day. Now in its fourth year, the Bridgeview Hotel’s Family Fun day has become an iconic annual event.
“After the huge success of last years Family Fun Day, this year the event will be bigger and better than ever” said Venue Manager, Petra Bright.
Hosted in the Bridgeview Hotel’s Car park, behind the hotel between 12noon and 6pm, jam packed day of fun will have a little piece of enjoyment for the whole family, whilst educating kids on the importance of the ANZAC spirit.
“There will be a huge jumping castle ready for the pouncing of little feet, farm animals and pony riders throughout the day. There will be a bar and sausage sizzle on the day with all money raised going to the Cancer Council. Of course 2up will kick off on the day at 2pm and with the close proximity to Easter this year, the kids will also receive a visit from the Easter Bunny.” continued Petra Bright.
