RUGBY LEGENDS BOBBY SKINSTAD AND TIM HORAN SHARE TALES, THRUTHS AND A FEW LAUGHS AT THE BRIDGEVIEW HOTEL LONG LUNCH

On Wednesday 20th July, the new Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining hosted Rugby legends Bob Skinstad and Tim Horan as they shared their tales and truths of the 12year and 11year respective test careers. Host Matt Pearce, South Africa’s leading Super Sport Rugby Anchor Commentator led the days analysis on all things Rugby heading into the Tri Nations and Rugby World Cups.
The Long Lunch which was attending by an intimate 65 local and industry professionals took guest of on 5 course culinary experience constructed by Head Chef Justin Walshe. To open the day, Sponsor Treasury Wine Estates talked guests through the days wine notes and menu matching choices.
Charity Auctions and Raffles were run throughout the day to raise money for the ‘For Jackson Foundation’; a newly established charity to assist young Jack Keleher and is father through the future challenges faced by this young 19month old boy recently diagnosed with severe Cerebral Palsy.
Special Guest, Bob Skinstad shared his close to heart experience with the condition as he told guest of the extraordinary story of his young brother who also suffered with the condition who is now kayaking around the Arctic Circle; one of only two explorers’ in history to do so. Touched by the story of young Jackson Keleher and inspired by the truths shared by Skinstad, guests dug deep and raised an astounding $9,565.00.

Host Matt Pearce and guest speakers Bob Skinstad and Tim Horan were sensational; funny and informative, guests were treated to some rugby insights leading into a huge year of international rugby. The five course degustation was a taste sensation and the whole day was capped off when we managed to raise such an astounding amount for such a great cause.”
With a focus on personality and service, the team at the Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining lead by head Chef Justin Walshe has finally brought a relaxed dining experience to the leafy suburb of Willoughby; a place where ”...you can be proud to bring your family and friends” continued Hamish Watts.
