Justin Walshe, Head Chef Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining, has been a chef for almost twenty years. Gaining his experience in both Hatted Restaurants around Australia and Michelin Star Restaurants throughout Ireland and Italy, Justin’s early career was focused on absorbing as much knowledge of the culinary arts as possible.

His passion extends not only to food and the challenges of professional cooking, but also, to successfully combining the key ingredients of strong leadership, and extensive and practical training required to seamlessly bond a team such as the one that now leads the Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining.

Enter, the new Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining. This historic hotel, established in 1928, has been a popular location catering to locals, corporates and families on the North Shore for over 80 years. Renowned for being the second home of Channel 9; the Bridgeview Hotel boasts some of the finest TAB, sports bar and bistro facilities the North Shore has to offer.
The collective vision of the new Bridgeview Hotel Bar + Dining team is to capture the best of this iconic Australian Pub with its rich local sporting and entertainment history, and combine it with a fine dining experience, focussing on service and personality.

“I have spent much of my working life on the North Shore, working in a variety of restaurants from Manly through to Crows Nest which, I believe, has given me a real insight into the desires of diners in the North” said Justin. “The Bridgeview Hotel is an iconic Australian Pub and my vision for the new Bar + Dining is to take the elements of a high quality food experience often associated with fine dining and combine them with  the classic relaxed pub experience to synergise the often varied restaurant verses pub experience for North Shore locals” continued Justin.
