On Monday 29th November the NSW AHA (Australian Hotels Association) Awards for Excellence were held at the Star City Casino. NLG Hotel Group Bar Training Manager Hamish Watts was recognised for his excellence within the Industry being named ‘Master of Bars’ for 2010.

The annual AHA Awards for Excellence has become the most prestigious awards night within the hospitality industry. Judged by an independent panel of hotel experts, the Master of Bars judging criteria canvassed personal presentation and attire, personality and professional attitude, skill set, customer engagement and knowledge of RSA and RCG practices.

“It’s an honour to receive such prestigious Industry recognition in a field true to my heart. It was a real thrill when my name was announced, especially when the calibre of finalists was so high” said Hamish Watts.

NLG Hotel Group enlisted the skills of Hamish Watts into the role of Group Bar Training Manager at the start of 2010 after Hamish had spent two years with the company at the Willoughby Hotel.
