NLG Hotel Group raises over $14,000 for the Movember Foundation as they round out a dynamic 2010

NLG Hotel Group’s MO Men got behind the Movember Foundation for the third year running and in an outstanding result, the 35 participating venues managed to raise more than $14,000.00 for the Movember Foundation.
Each year Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces around the world (and moustache rashes on women!). The commitment shown by Mo Bros and the support of their Mo Sista’s, raise funds and awareness by promoting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.
In 2010, NLG Hotel Group dug deep into their local communities with a focus on customer engagement and strengthening of community ties. Through local community sponsorship, fundraising events and participation in activities like Movember, NLG Hotel Group have really personalised their approach to their local community ties.
Throughout the month of November, NLG Hotel Group encouraged staff and patrons to ‘grow a mo’ to raise the much needed funds and awareness for the Movember Foundation. Now, for the third year running; the NLG Hotel Group team have shared tales of their Mo growing efforts, their Mo sista’s patience and sparked public conversation around the important issue of men’s health.
NLG Hotel Group, Marketing Manager, Alistair Flower said; “It was really encouraging to see the venues get behind Movember again this year. The interaction between hotel’s and their local communities is what this is all about and this year has really shown some exceptional results around the park. Creating this unity around such an important issue strengthens communities and the hotel’s involvement within their local area.”
In addition to their local community support, NLG Hotel Group rallied its partners in the fundraising efforts. “Many suppliers have again shown their support this year. Great pride comes with the ability to involve groups that we do business with on a day to day basis for the sole purpose of this wonderful cause. It is instrumental in the strengthening of these great relationships.” Alistair continued.
NLG Hotel Group will proudly hand over a cheque for $14,406 to the Movember Foundation to aid the support and awareness of men’s health issues in 2011. The solid foundation laid as a Movember partner over the last three years will continue in 2011 and beyond with NLG Hotel continuing to use their community influence to move people in support of this wonderful cause.
